Competitive Pay (based on experience)

Preschool & Recreational Instructor

Duties include coaching and/or assisting preschool and youth gymnastics classes for all ages. Creating lesson plans, using effective classroom management techniques, and promoting a safe, positive learning environment.

 

Skills Needed: The ability to work well with children, an upbeat attitude, reliability, a willingness to learn, and the ability to implement the Gleason's curriculum and philosophy.

Qualifications: Age 16 or older. Evening and/or weekend availability is required. Experience teaching, coaching, or working with children is a plus, but not required.

Team Coaches

Duties include coaching one of four Gleason's competitive teams (Girls Xcel, Boys Junior Olympic, Trampoline & Tumbling). Create lesson plans and team development programs. including strength and conditioning, provide coaching support at competitive meets, determine the routine and composition for optional athletes, and communicate with families. Complete or assist with coaching administrative duties such as managing practice schedules and team budgets.

 

Skills Needed: Strong comprehension of gymnastics skills and techniques. Strong physical ability, along with the knowledge and capability to spot senior-level athletes safely and correctly. Ability to think creatively and with an open mind about programming and coaching. Ability to communicate effectively, establish rapport with participants and their parents, and be a team player with other coaches.

Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience instructing gymnastics programs. Some competitive coaching experience preferred.
