Preschool & Recreational Instructors
Gleason's Gymnastic School is always on the lookout for individuals to join our staff of Preschool and Recreational Coaches. No gymnastics experience required.
We will train!
Duties Include: Coaching and/or assisting preschool and youth gymnastics classes for all ages. Creating lesson plans, use of effective class management techniques, promotion of a safe and positive learning environment.
Skills Needed: The ability to work well with children, upbeat and positive attitude, reliability, a willingness to learn and implement the Gleason's curriculum and philosophy.
Qualifications: Age 16 or older. Evening and/or weekend availability is required. Experience teaching, coaching, or working with children is a plus but not required.
Duties include: Coaching one of four Gleason's competitive teams (Girls Junior Olympic, Girls Xcel, Boys Junior Olympic, Trampoline & Tumbling). Create lesson plans and team development programs. including strength and conditioning, provide coaching support at competititive meets, determine routine composition for optional athletes, communicate with families. Complete or assist with coaching administrative duties such as managing practice schedules and team budgets.
Skills Needed: Strong comprehension of gymnastics skills and techniques. Strong physical ability along with knowledge and capability to spot senior level athletes safely and correctly. Ability to think creatively and with an open mind with regard to programming and coaching. Ability co communicate effectively, establish rapport with participants and their parents, be a team player with other coaches.
Qualifications: Minimum 2 years experience instructing gymnastics programs. Some competitive coaching experience preferred.
Be part of our Gleason's family! Working in the Gleason's office is fun and rewarding spending time with all of our terrific families, staff, and athletes! This is a part-time position with varying hours, which may include mornings, afternoons, and Saturdays.
Duties include: Greeting customers (athletes and parents) on the phone or in person to answer questions, process registrations and billing, and follow-up on customer accounts. Perform data entry. Assist instructors in class managemeent (help with attendance, printing rosters, student mobility tracking). Keep the office and gym organized, including pro-shop and lobby.
Skills Needed: Excellent written and verbal communciation skills. Enthusiasm and strong people skills. Excellent organizational skills.
Qualifications: High School Diploma. 1+ year experience in an administrative setting. 1+ year in a customer service environment. Strong computer skills. No gymnastics experience required - we will train on Gleason's program, systems, and processes!
