About our Trampoline and Tumbling Program

Our recreational trampoline and tumbling program is for boys and girls who really love to flip! Students in the program will use the trampoline, the super springy rod tumbling floor, the tumble trak (long trampoline), the double mini-tramp and the foam pit. Advanced students will be eligible to try out for the Gypsy Flyers, our school's competitive trampoline and tumbling team. Members of our team have competed in many countries as members of the USA Trampoline and Tumbling National Team.

Trampoline and tumbling are now part of international gymnastics and trampoline is an Olympic event.

The sporting discipline of Trampoline includes 3 disciplines:

Trampoline
Trampolining is an elite sport, a discipline symbolizing freedom, flying, space. The multiple somersaults and twists at a height of 8 meters require a fine technique, perfect body control and most aesthetic movements. The Trampoline is used as a basic training device for all sports which contain acrobatic elements.

Tumbling
Tumbling is characterized by continuous speedy, complex, rhythmic hands to feet, feet to hands, and feet to feet acrobatics within 6 seconds on a 25 meter long dynamic track. Tumbling is a highly spectacular sport in which a perfect combination of speed, rhythm and somersaulting and twisting movements are required.

Double Mini Trampoline
Developed from the common Mini-tramp, it allows more acrobatic performance. After a run the competitors show one skill on the apparatus followed by a skill on a landing mat.

High level performers show double and triple salto with twists!
