Our Gymnastics Program

Gleason’s Gymnastic School has been providing the benefits of gymnastics training to young boys and girls in a safe and positive learning atmosphere since 1966. Our students are taught with the belief that the total development of the child is important, especially their feelings of self-worth and their need for successful experiences. We believe that gymnastics training is helpful as a physical and mental preparation for all sports. It can also help prepare children for academic work by developing listening skills, self-esteem and self-discipline. GGS gives the student a strong all-around foundation for further development in gymnastics or any other sport.

Care is taken to ensure that the class content matches the developmental level of the children involved. Children learn in a playful atmosphere, filled with lots of positive reinforcement and successful experiences. Skill development is coupled with cognitive development. Every opportunity to use the gymnastic environment for conceptual development of the child is used.

Owner and director Larry Gleason has over 40 years gymnastic experience as a competitor and teacher. Mr. Gleason is responsible school’s curriculum as well as the selection and training of all teachers in school’s program.

GGS offers several different programs to meet different needs. Students may choose from the recreational program, or trampoline and tumbling classes, or cheer classes. A pre-school program is offered for children 2-5 years.  USAG competitive teams for boys and for girls, and a boys and girls Trampoline Team. Members of our competitive teams have competed in local, national, and international competitions.
